The Paradox community has a history of being helpful to new users and supportive of those running into problems. While credit for this goes to some of the original community leaders, the tradition continues to this day. In fact, some of the best Paradox information is not available from the usual suspects. This page links to other Paradox communities and resources:
- The Usenet newsgroups are perhaps the best resource for obtaining technical support, as they reach an international audience of readers and are frequented by some of the best (or perhaps notorious) Paradox people around. However, Corel's recent decision to moderate the official newsgroups increases turnaround time. Because of this, many people prefer to access the newsgroups hosted by The DB Community.
WordPerfect Universe is an online community for Corel WordPerfect. It offers online forums for posting questions regarding any software in the suite, including Paradox.
Tek-Tips is an online forum that provides numerous areas devoted to specific software products and services, including Paradox.
Google's Usenet archive contains more than twenty years of Usenet messages. Since many people encounter the same problems, the archive is an excellent resource for locating these previous discussions and any solutions that were offered.
For best results, limit your queries to newsgroups whose names match "*paradox*".
- ExpertsExchange provides a general database section that periodically contains Paradox questions. When such questions appear, though, they get answered quite quickly.
Prestwood.com also features online forums for Paradox.
